Day 1 (Monday)

Zadar

Check-in at Zadar port at 5:00 pm. Free time or optional sightseeing of Zadar (starting at 5:30 pm), rich in the monumental heritage of world importance visible on every step. The Roman forum dated to the 1st century AD, the church of St. Donatus dated to the 9th century AD – the most famous Medieval basilica and the symbol of the city, the mighty city walls with representative Port and Land gates from the 16th century AD, and numerous palaces, villas. The town is full of great restaurants packed in the centre. Of special interest are the famous Zadar Sea Organs, one of a kind in the world, and “The Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Overnight on board.

Zadar – Molat Island or Olib (B, L, CD)

Early departure for Molat or Olib island (depending on available space in the small harbours). Both islands are situated in the northern part of Zadar’s archipelago where one can enjoy peace and serenity. Captain’s dinner party on board and overnight.

Molat Island or Olib – Ilovik – Losinj Island (B, L)

After breakfast and morning swim, cruise towards Ilovik, the island of flowers, for a short stop before departing for Lošinj island, one of the most popular islands on the northern Adriatic due to the abundance of pine trees and clear waters. Mali Lošinj is known as the ‘sunshine island’. On arrival, take a walk along the harbor or walk up to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden or visit the nearby picturesque town of Veli Lošinj. Overnight in Mali Lošinj.

Losinj Island – Cres Island (B, L)

After a morning swim, leave for Cres island, a long and narrow island covered with oak, beech, and pine forests as well as vineyards and olive tree plantations. Cres and Mali Lošinj used to be one island, but a channel dug by the Romans separated them. Spend the night in the harbour of the typical medieval town Cres.

Cres Island – Opatija (B, L)

After breakfast, we leave for Opatija. On route, we can experience the spectacular views of the famous Opatija Riviera. Late afternoon arrival to Opatija for a stroll along the famous Franz Joseph promenade – Lungo Mare to the numerous cafes and restaurants in Opatija or nearby fishermen’s village Volosko – well known for excellent seafood restaurants, the best in the region, as well as among the best in Croatia. In our plan is a guided walking tour of Opatija. For your last night on board, we recommend a farewell party on the ship, an opportunity for exchanging addresses with other passengers who have by now become your new friends.

Cabins built by up-to-date standards, fully equipped with A/C, safe deposit box, fire alarm and audio system for announcements by the captain or Tour Director. In addition each cabin has life jackets, wardrobe, night stand, and a porthole window. Bathrooms are equipped with toilet, shower, wash basin and hair dryer. Some cabins have indoor passage access to the bar and restaurant area. Cabin’s area: 8 – 14 m2 (86 – 150 sq ft).

 

PUBLIC AREAS

 

A fully air-conditioned upper deck dining room can accommodate all passengers at once, yet offer a great degree of privacy for each guest. The restaurant includes bar area with LCD TV, with a corner table for buffet breakfast while each table has an easy-access chair. A portion of the dining area extends outdoors as a lounge area, offering sweeping panoramic views of the surroundings. Free wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) (in case of emergency).
The kitchen is built up to the latest HACCP standards and the lounging sundeck has a total surface of 180 m2 (1937 sq ft), partially offering sun-shade cover, providing deck-beds for all passengers. The covered part of the upper deck is spacious enough to accommodate all passengers, tables, chairs with available public lavatory. The vessel has a rear access platform to the sea as well as ladders for easy access to the water. In addition, the vessel offers two outdoor showers and 2 deck lavatories.

Booking & Payment

Partial Deposit of 10€ will be due at the time of your Booking Request. To join a cruise, you must send us a Booking Request by clicking on the “Book Now” button and transfer the payment on-line. Upon receiving both of these, we shall reconfirm space availability and pricing. You will then be sent your Cruise Confirmation, along with pro-forma invoice for a Full Deposit Payment of 100€ per person, less the 10€ Partial Deposit. 
The Partial Deposit can only be transferred on-line by credit/debit card in EUR. The Full Deposit Payment can be paid by bank transfer in EUR only (please, make sure you cover the associated bank transfer fees).
After receiving both Partial Deposit and Full Deposit Payment you will be sent an invoice for the amount paid.
The Balance Payment is due 35 days before the date of embarkation. We shall email you a pro-forma invoice with the remaining amount due. Again, the remaining Balance Payment can be paid by bank transfer in EUR only.

3rd Passenger and Children under 10

The cost for a 3rd passenger in a triple cabin is 30% off the adult fare. Children under 10 years old use a 50% discount on the adult fare.

Solo Passengers

Solo passengers pay 50% surcharge on the adult fare to cover the cost for the second bed in their cabin.

Cancellations/Changes

Should the ship or the Republic of Croatia be closed due to government restrictions, or regulatory requirements stemming from COVID-19 or similar, or due to local lockdown in your home country, or the airlines be prohibited from flying to Croatia, up to the date of sailing, the cruise operator will make a full refund or transfer deposit payment to 2022 or further on.
Standard Policy
If for some reason you cannot participate in the cruise, you can cancel your Booking by simply sending an email to unplug@digitaldetoxcruise.com. We strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance from a provider in your home country, which will offset the risk of losing funds.
The following conditions apply to Cancellations and Booking Changes:
> 30 Days: the deposit of 100€ per person is withheld as cancellation fee
29 – 22 Days: 25% of the remaining balance is withheld as cancellation fee
21 – 15 Days: 50% of the remaining balance is withheld as cancellation fee
14 – 0 Days: 100% of the remaining balance is withheld as cancellation fee
Any changes to an existing reservation made up to 60 days of sailing are subject to a €40 per person surcharge.
Changes to an existing reservation made within 60 days of sailing are subject to a €60 per person surcharge.

Travel Insurance

We do not provide insurance with your Cruise Fare. You must have sufficient insurance covering health, travel and accident.
If it were our choice, every guest would purchase an additional trip insurance. Your investment for the cruise should be protected, so we urge you to purchase one. Please remember, restrictions do apply, so you should apply for the insurance in a timely manner.

Travel Documentation and Visas

EU Citizens
All EU citizens may travel with their EU National ID Cards (passports not required).
Passports
We strongly recommend that all non-EU guests travel with a passport valid for at least six (6) months after the end of the cruise.
Visas
We cannot be held liable for insufficient visas. You must research if you need a visa for the European Union.
Cruise Ticket
You will be able to receive your Cruise Ticket, once you have paid in full for your Digital Detox Cruise Holiday. Please, print out your Ticket for check-in at the Cruise Port.

Difference between Lower Deck and Deck Cabins

Cabins are situated on deck and on lower deck. On Deck Cabins can be situated on the Main Deck (deck on which you step on as you embark the vessel) and on Upper Deck (deck on top of the main deck). Cabins on Lower Deck are actually in the hull of the vessel. Advantage of cabins situated On Deck is the direct exit to sea and more fresh air, while cabins on Lower Deck are sometimes quieter (only fellow passengers who booked Lower Deck cabins will pass by and not all passengers from your vessel as well as other vessels when docked) and comfortable because they are situated at a sea level which chills cabins naturally, and hallways below deck are often air-conditioned which affect temperature in cabins too. Cabins on Lower Deck mostly have little portholes.

Ship Rules

If in the opinion of the ship’s operator any passenger behaves in a way that causes or it is likely to cause danger or distress to any third party they reserve the right to terminate the travel of the person(s) concerned without any refund.
  • Passengers on board are obliged to abide by the ship rules, as Captain is responsible for the safety of all passengers and crew. Captain has the right to change the itinerary in case of bad weather or similar inappropriate conditions in ports to ensure safety on board.
  • All cruise departures are guaranteed. However, in an unlikely event that less than 10 guests are booked, the ship operator reserves the right to cancel the departure and change the ship name. The new ship will be of similar or higher class model.
  • Passports are to be shown to the Captain for registration on the first day of the cruise at check in.
  • Jumping or diving from the vessel during navigation is strictly forbidden. For safety reasons climbing on the masts is also forbidden.
  • During rough weather, any movement should be done with care and as little as possible. The floors can often be wet and slippery. Passengers should take extra care crossing between the ships when they are docked alongside in port. Do not hesitate to ask a crew member for assistance when crossing. Movement between ships is individuals’ responsibility.
  • Safety belts are placed under the seats in the dining area or below the bunks in the cabins (depending on the ship).
  • As the ships are explicitly acoustic all passengers are asked to behave accordingly. Special attention must be given to night peace onboard, which officially is at midnight. In National Parks, even earlier night peace is required and guests will be notified of this.
  • Smoking is allowed only in designated area. Smoking in the restaurant area and in the cabins is not allowed and when smoking on the deck passengers must not throw cigarette butts out into sea.
  • Bed linens must not be taken out of the cabins.
  • Please take special attention not to throw anything into toilets except toilette paper.
  • Passengers are not permitted to bring drinks and food onboard the vessel. This includes all drinks and food products purchased ashore in ports of call. The exceptions are personal care products, liquid medicine, food products specifically for infants and food products for special diets. Typical regional products purchased during visits in the ports will be stored on board to be returned to passengers at the end of the cruise.
  • Guests are obliged to respect meal times on board, which are placed on the board in the salon, as well as departure times while in port.
  • Any damage must be compensated to the Captain by the passenger. Lost cabin keys will be charged 150 kunas (20 EUR) per key.
  • It is strictly forbidden to throw rubbish into the sea.
  • Water is a problem on every vessel, therefore please be very rational with it. The same applies to the electricity which runs on the generator.
  • Guests must close the portholes in cabins under deck during navigation, to avoid their cabins getting wet by the sea water entering the cabin through the porthole.
  • The Captain and the crew will be available for any questions or queries and will do their best to make your stay onboard a most pleasurable one. If Captain and his crew are not providing satisfactory service, please contact DigitalDetoxCruise.com for further help, as our aim is to make you satisfied during your stay onboard.
  • Service charge is not included in the price and therefore please tip as suggested
  • We believe that tips should reflect good service and your satisfaction with the guide/cruise manager, crew and overall tour. Crew gratuities are equally distributed among the crew. Tipping is voluntary and completely at the discretion of individual trip participants. Your own currency or Croatian Kuna is acceptable.
  • Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian ports, ships are moored side by side, making it necessary for the clients to cross from one vessel to another with gaps in between vessels in order to get ashore. In such cases clients need to take special care when crossing and do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it.
  • Cruise not recommended for clients in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
  • In a case you would like to spend some nights sleeping on deck under the stars, we recommend you to take a sleeping bag because it is not allowed to take mattress, pillows and sheets out of your cabin on deck.
